Compulsory Basic Training - CBT Plus |
|
|
This course variation is aimed at those students 21 years or older who intend to go on to taking a full Motorcycle Test. This is a full CBT but with an extended road ride element and includes a riding introduction to a larger 500cc motorcycle. Normally this course will be one to one hence the higher price. The CBT course was introduced in December
1990 with the aim of improving road safety and reducing motorcycle
accidents. All learner motorcycle, scooter and learner moped riders must
successfully complete a CBT course before riding on the road. The only
exception being if you have passed a car driving test before 1 February
2001, then you are permitted to ride a 50cc moped restricted to 30 mph
(50kmph) on that licence without having to obtain a CBT. A comprehensive guide to the CBT course can be viewed here. CBT using our scooter or bike? Alternatively use your own if it is fully road legal. For guide prices please look here. Our terms and conditions are here.
