Dartmoor M/C Training provide training courses to  riders.  In doing so we are not contracting to provide any other goods or services.

All courses must be fully paid for before the day of training, except where advance agreement has been made to collect a balance at the start of a subsequent training day.

Dartmoor M/C Training does not provide credit terms for its courses.

Payments made by riders to Dartmoor M/C Training are for rider instruction and where agreed the short term loan of suitable motorcycles or scooters.

The instructors of Dartmoor M/C Training will not intentionally put rider or public safety at risk.

Where a course has to be cancelled by Dartmoor M/C Training due to unforeseen circumstances, such as the instructor being unwell, the site being un-safe, or the weather outlook is such that rider safety might be compromised, alternative dates will be provided at no further charge.

Where a rider fails to arrive within a reasonable delay to a course they are considered to have failed to show up and fore fit their payment.

Where a rider arrives and is clearly unfit due to alcohol, drugs, or general attitude - the instructor may in the interests of safety bar them from participation.

Where a rider arrives intending to use their own bike and it is clearly not legally fit for road use, or displaying a TAX disk, or if they do not have the original insurance policy, or if it is 3 years old a valid MOT, the instructor may decide to allow it on-site but not be used on the road ride.  If an alternative bike or scooter is available then an immediate cash payment to the instructor for the difference in course booking fee may be made and the rider continue to participate.

Where the rider fails to bring the required licence (both parts of the new type) then they cannot complete the road ride element of a CBT, and face paying for a 2nd day charged at a slightly lower rate.

Where a rider fails a Theory Test inside our cancellation notice period and cannot then take the practical road ride the test fee is fore fit and if the un-used training slot not re-used by another rider booking that too will be fore fit.

Where less than 14 days notice cannot be given for cancellation of Road Riding courses leading to Practical Tests, then the deposit will be fore fit.

Please also refer to our Policies web page if these points are not clear.
