Why Dartmoor Motorcycle Training?

Standards - we set our own high and work to those from the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) who direct the structure of the Compulsory Basic Training courses, and via the DSA examiners the skill levels expected to pass the full rider practical tests.

We appreciate that each student learns at a different rate during each and every session with your instructor.  Periodic feedback and the opportunity to discuss the points raised during a training session is important for each student rider.  Most importantly examples of good practice are given by the instructor either verbally or by example on the road.

Our instructors are each assessed and approved by the DSA in order to ensure they are suitably qualified to help you to learn safely and correctly.  There are different grades of instructor, this reflects the level that they themselves have achieved.

Location - We are based in Tavistock, West Devon.  So those early learning miles on a bike or scooter away from busy 'big' town traffic can help build confidence.  Later sessions can be onto roads close to your test centre.  Bodmin, Exeter, Launceston and Plymouth.  For the module 1 off road test our nearest MPTC centres are Exeter and Plymouth.
